In a typical village in Northern China, my grandmother, a kind and industrious woman, lived a life dedicated to family and knowledge. Despite facing late-stage colon cancer in December 2017, she displayed remarkable resilience, continuing her daily routines until her passing in August 2018.
Her strength during her illness became a source of my life, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when I felt lost and helpless in a foreign land. Remembering her perseverance, I found solace and direction. Now, I understand that her departure marked not an end but a transformation.
In addition to working hard on my track, I also started to learn to enjoy life. I remembered Grandma's garden again, a few days before she passed away, her flowers were blooming very well.

Sometimes I feel really tired, especially in these past few years in Canada. I have come to realize that I am living life on my own, facing all the problems alone, so I strive to live seriously and bravely confront difficulties. But every challenge feels like shedding skin in nature, a difficult process.
I want to say that the significance of overcoming challenges is not about achieving great success, but realizing what I still want and what is worth pursuing and loving.

The most important quality in a person is not smart, academic, achievement, appearance, or wealth. But these two words are reliable, reliability is the highest affirmation of a person's ability and character. Surround yourself with reliable individuals who are steadfast and trustworthy. Communicating with unreliable people is a waste of time and life. Reliable people speak honestly, provide sincere explanations, and respond to every situation with integrity.
